  • The 3rd Annual Conference was held in Nashville Tennessee November 27-29, 2006. We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the Tennessee Alliance for hosting the conference. All of their support and hard work made the conference a huge success.
     
  • We would also like to thank everyone who attended. The feedback and suggestions you provided are being used to shape the ’O7 conference agenda.
     
  • Host applications for the 4th annual conference were submitted and we are honored that the Kansas Alliance will be our host. The conference will be held October 10-12 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center, in Kansas City, Missouri.
     
  • Please watch the web site for registration and accommodation information. Space will be limited, early registration in encouraged.
     
  • A National DEC Quarterly Newsletter is in progress. If you wish to submit any information for publication, please send to jray@nationaldec.org or fax attn: Julie Ray at 303-938-6850.
     
  • We will also be sending out information regarding working groups, to include basic description and responsibilities. We are requesting letters of interest, a current CV and Bio for the selection process. Please check the website for updates on the National DEC Working Groups.
     
  • We would like to extend an invitation to all states to host the 2008 conference. Please visit the website to obtain the application and scope of work documents. Any interested states must submit applications by March 31st for consideration

  • The National DEC Advisory Board page has been added. Content for this page is being developed.
  • The National DEC Resource Center page has been added. We will be adding additional content to this page.
  • The National DEC Working Groups page has been added. This page contains links to the various working groups.
  • The Research and Articles link has been renamed to Evidence-Based Practices & Research.
  • The Partners and Sponsors link has been renamed to Partners. The Sponsors information has been moved to the About Us page.
  • We've added a Contributions and Volunteers page. Content for this page is being developed.
  • The Legal page has been removed. A Legislation section has been added to the Links page. The NAMSDL link has been updated and moved to the Legislation section. We've added a link to the Library of Congress legislative information website to the Legislation section.
  • The Links Page has been updated to include a link to the SAMHSA Treatment Facility Locator website.
  • A Grant Opportunities page has been added. This page will be updated as opportunities arise.
  • We've updated the Upcoming Events page to include HBO's special "Addiction" , the Montana Meth Project information and the 2007 Conference announcement.
  • The Conference page has been updated to include the 2008 Scope of Work document (Adobe PDF)
  • For anyone interested in starting a DEC program, contact information has been added to the How to Start a DEC Program page and on the About Us page.
  • The Plight of Drug Endangered Children page has been removed and the content moved to the About Us page.
  • We've added a new page called We'll Never Forget. This page was added to honor Darcy Dengel from the Montana Alliance. Darcy was one of Montana's DEC instructors and a great advocate of the DEC efforts. She will be missed.
  • The Medicine and Science page has been renamed to the Medical Research Working Group and moved to the National DEC Working Groups page. The Medical Protocol page has been deleted and the content moved to the new Medical Research Working Group page.
  • The Child Welfare page has been renamed to Child Welfare Working Group and moved to the National DEC Working Groups Page.
  • The Law Enforcement page has been renamed to Dec 1st Responder Working Group and moved to the National DEC Working Groups page.
  • The Psychosocial page has been renamed to the Child Development Working Group and moved to the National DEC Working Groups page.
  • The Victims and WItness page has been removed temporarily.
  • The Steering Committee members information has been removed.
  • The 4th Annual 2007 Conference SAVE THE DATE information has been added to the Conference and Upcoming Events pages.
